I am reorganizing a folder of generated songs that has become hard to navigate. Some exports have a faint metallic texture, but I also want to remember exactly what came out of each session. I would like the original exports to stay intact. The difficult part is deciding what belongs beside them when I make a more comfortable listening copy. I have not processed this collection yet, so I am asking about the filing policy before choosing a tool. Would you create a separate derivatives folder? I can note the original creation date, but I am less sure how much processing detail is useful months later. A brief processing note seems manageable. Disk capacity is not my immediate concern. How do you label these copies so their history stays clear?
